Apuseni tour adventure

We want to create an unforgettable experience, suited to your wishes and expectations.

In 3, 4, or 5 riding days, we explore a vast area of Apuseni that will ensure that every motorcycle enthusiast understands why we at ATA fell in love with this region. We travel through stunning landscapes on high ridges, where old villages seem asleep if not for the sporadic plume of smoke coming from the chimney. We pass between hillside fields, where the farmer and his cow may look surprised to see passing motorcycle tourists as we admire his traditional craft. All this in the scenery of nature and forests as pure as it comes, and with mountain landscapes that appear to have been taken out of a painting. We climb rocky and muddy trails, descend on winding roads, cross dense and cold forests and when needed even streams and rivers.

During the day, we picknick at a viewpoint or find traditional dishes along our route. When our tour leads us back to Casa din Apuseni, we enjoy traditional Romanian dinners, where witnessing or even assisting in the preparation is a big part of the true Apuseni experience. We share stories around the campfire and admire the beautiful starry sky, still untouched by light pollution, before heading to bed.

General course of the day

We start our morning with breakfast and coffee at Casa din Apuseni, aiming to be ready for departure by 10 a.m. Tours vary between 150 and 250 kilometres per day, and are a combination of asphalted roads and off-road trails. We take plenty of breaks, as our path is loaded with stops and viewpoints that deserve proper attention. Around 2 p.m., we stop at a determined spot or local restaurant for lunch. We continue our path until 5-6 p.m., when we arrive back at Casa din Apuseni. Here we can enjoy a traditional glass of țuică, afinată, or other classic spirits, a cold beer or a glass of wine, and a well-earned Romanian dinner. A few surprise activities are prepared for those who are up to the challenge, before we share stories and memories by the campfire.
